From Boardrooms to Playrooms: My Journey to Breaking Cycles

I spent years climbing the corporate ladder, becoming an award-winning designer with a master’s degree in Human-Centered Design. I thrived in Fortune 500 companies, leading innovative teams across healthcare, wellness, and finance. On paper, I was successful. But behind every polished presentation and product launch was a woman carrying invisible weight—a lifetime of racism, bullying, and emotional neglect that no job title could fix.

I was the child who learned to stay small to be safe, the student who had to prove twice as much just to belong, and the adult who built a life that looked whole but felt hollow. The armor I wore in boardrooms had been forged in childhood, and while it protected me, it also disconnected me—from myself, from others, and from the life I deeply desired to lead.

I reached a turning point in my healing journey—the moment I realized I was no longer just coping, but truly thriving. But even then, something lurked inside of me. I knew I wasn’t meant to heal just for myself. I wanted to be a bridge—so the next generation wouldn’t have to start where I did. I made the bold and easiest decision of my life to switch the boardroom for the playroom, dedicating my life to being a leading voice in breaking the generational cycle of trauma.

Now, as a certified Somatic-Attachment Practitioner, Trauma-Informed Coach, and Neuro-Linguistic Programmer, I’ve made it my pledge to help others re-parent the parts of themselves that were never seen, never held, never honored. I founded The Self Parent to offer a safe space for their pain, a roadmap back to themselves, and practical tools to stop passing pain forward.

My work blends behavioral science, NLP, attachment theory, and nervous system healing into a compassionate, no-fluff approach that meets you where you are—because I know how hard it is to try to “heal” while still doing life. I believe change doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Sometimes, it starts with one small act of self-parenting.

This work isn’t just my passion—it’s my purpose. Together, we’re not just healing for ourselves. We’re healing for the next generation.
